screw all that. this year i'm working on goals.
i'm fairly organized when it comes to a lot of aspects in my life, so why not in my brain. i've decided to set goals for myself for this year. personally, physically, mentally, spiritually. in fact, while i'm at work tonight, i'll be working on that. i've never been much of a goals person, so this will be a unique challenge for me. i'm mostly trying not to stare at the top of the mountain from the ground.
what are your goals for this year? what should mine be?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
top 5 goals i've ever achieved:
1. drumline captain
2. ran 3 miles
3. I uh...
4. um...
5. ...
see what i mean?
Do I have NAD?
Permaybe.
I'm working the graveyard shift at Holiday Inn Express these days. I was just talking to Kristen about possibly having seasonal affective disorder. She said, "Maybe you have seasonal affective disorder, only the nighttime version. Maybe you have NAD."
I snickered.
So I got into the X-ray Tech program at Augusta Tech. There were 300 candidates and 15 spots. The upside is that in a year and a half, I'll be making good money. The downside is that for the next 18 months, my scrubs color will be "grape." With solid white shoes. Oh joy.
I told Beardyface about this and he laughed. His scrubs are black. Why do OTA's get to have all the cool things? His program is basically arts and crafts anyway. They should make HIM wear grape.
Well I was running three times a week for a solid two months, and then I hurt my knee and haven't been able to get back into it. I had lost some weight, but I feel like I've gained it back. I've got to get going again. I will not survive school if I don't stay healthy. I was feeling really good there for a while. Now I feel like crap. I would probably enjoy night shift more if I were exercising regularly too.
So, school starts January 5th. In the meantime, I've got to get a lot of shots and a physical, a background check, and fill out a bunch of paperwork. Also, the chamber chorus I sing in, Augusta Collegium Musicum, has two Christmas shows in the next two weeks, so that will be a lot of fun.
Here's hoping I can get some more sleep.
